Parsons, Sr., 53
HARRINGTON - Michael James "Jim" Parsons, Sr. passed away at Tidalhealth Nanticoke Hospital, on Dec. 30, 2022. He was the son of Ginny Lee Cagle (Jerry) and the late Michael Lee Parsons.
Jim was an excellent carpenter, enjoyed building things, and spent most of his life working in construction. The past few years he drove trucks for Southern States.
Jim liked to fish, hunt, spend time in the garage, and loved to garden. He was an early riser who loved to watch the sun rises, go antiquing looking for old tools and bottles. Jim was a fun loving jokester, who enjoyed playing pranks, and teasing his grandkids who he loved spending time with.
In addition to his father; Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chester and Helen Parsons, and Donald "Pop" and Ruth Dean.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Yvonne Parsons; daughter, Ashley Parsons (fiancé Ryan Rennaker); son, Michael J. "Jimmy" Parsons, Jr. (Brianna); grandchildren, Bernadette, Amelia, Logan, and Payton; siblings, Christopher Parsons (Christina), Heather Rust, Tammy Carter; niece and nephew, Rachel and Ben; Parent in laws, Bob and Jeannie Shahan; dog, Pete; and large extended family.
A Celebration of Life service will take place Friday, January 6, 2023 at the Harrington Fire Company, 20 Clark St., Harrington DE from 6-8 PM.
