Michael Joseph Peers, age 67 of Osceola, PA passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at his home. Born on May 16, 1954 in Dansville, NY he was the son of the late Abel and Mary (Ray) Peers. Michael grew up in Woodhull, NY and after several years there, he moved to Texas for about 20 years. Following that, he moved to Osceola, PA and spent the last several years with his loving spouse, Dawn M. (Stamets) Slonaker. Mike enjoyed farming, hunting and spending time with his children. Michael is survived by his spouse, Dawn Slonaker of Osceola, PA; children, Aaron Peers of Florida, Amanda Peers of Washington, Cody Peers of Osceola, PA and Holly Peers of Osceola, PA; step-children, Beatty Slonaker, Peter Slonaker and Becky Slonaker - all of Osceola, PA; siblings, John (Bonnie) Peers of Addison, NY, Eleanor Hackett of Erwin, NY, Carol (Steve) Boyer of Painted Post, NY, Marie Booth of Corning, NY, Pam (Scott) Bliss and Jane (Bill) Rolyea of Lema, NY; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abel and Mary Peers; daughter, Kylie Peers; and uncle, Tom Ray. Family and friends can gather at Kenyon Funeral Home - Elkland for calling hours on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. A funeral service will immediately follow at 8:00 PM with Pastor Michael Denelsbeck officiating. The family will be having a dinner at the Elkland Fire Department on January 22, 2022 at 4:00 pm and following the funeral service, there will be cookies for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mike's honor can be made to the Turner Syndrome Foundation; PO Box 726 Holmdel, NJ 07733. Arrangements are in the care of Kenyon Funeral Home, 214 W.
