Michael F. Perkovich, age 45, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 27, 2024. Born on May 1, 1979, in Lorain, Ohio, Michael lived in Ohio for most of his life.
Michael was known for his unparalleled work ethic, always giving 100% to every job and task he undertook. His dedication extended beyond his professional life, as he was always eager to help others, whether family or friends, in any way he could.
Throughout his career, Michael primarily worked as an electrician, a field in which he excelled and found great satisfaction. One of his most favorite jobs though was when he was a chemical processor for Promerus. He also gained valuable experience in construction and concrete work, showcasing his versatility and skill in various trades.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Michael had a profound love for the outdoors. He enjoyed 4-wheeling, shooting, and generally being surrounded by nature. Riding his motorcycle was another passion, providing him with a sense of freedom and adventure.
Michael's warmth, generosity, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of hard work, kindness, and love for the outdoors will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be part of his life.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Madalynn Perkovich, of Lorain, his granddog "Dipper", mother, Jean (Dave Childress) Moinet, of Lorain, father, Michael P. (Cindy) Perkovich, brothers; Joseph (Alicia) Perkovich, of Medina & David (Marley) Perkovich, of Elyria, Niece, Jenna Perkovich, nephew, Emmanuel Perkovich, his numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and all those who were touched by his spirit and dedication. Michael's memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024 from 4 – 7 pm at Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. To send an online condolence, please visit www.dovinreberjones.com.
