Michael A. Perna, age 63, of Wayne passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 17, 1961, in Orange, NJ the son of the late Leonard and the late Marie (Petruziello) Perna.
Michael was the husband to Beth Mecionis-Perna for 48 years, married 39 of those years, he is the father to Michael Matthew Perna and Gina Marie Perna.
Michael is survived by his sister, Rosanne Perna, and brother, Richard Perna, sisters in law, Catherine Perna, Danielle Mecionis Varon, and Nicole Mecionis O'Donnell, brother in law, Sal Varon, nephews, Lenny Perna, Salvatore Varon, Anthony Perna and Richard Perna, nieces, Jennifer Perna, Erin O'Donnell and Caileigh O'Donnell. Also surviving are too many family and friends to mention. Michael was predeceased by his brother, Lenny Perna.
Michael was a driver for the City and Suburban and the Star Ledger for 25 plus years. Later in life he became a Realtor/Broker and loved meeting and helping people find their new homes. He loved playing poker, fishing and enjoying time with his family.
He will be dearly missed and everyone who new him loved him, Michael always left a good impression.
Visiting hours will be Thursday, February 27, 2025 from 4pm to 8pm at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home Inc., 86 Bartholdi Ave., Butler, N.J. The cremation will be private.
