Janet Hugg

Janet Hugg, born on May 22, 1956, in Passaic, NJ, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on February 14, 2026. Janet was not only a devoted mother and grandmother but also a radiant spirit whose presence enriched the lives of those around her. She was a proud graduate of Clifton High School and furthered her education in the dental field, eventually retiring from Caggiano Orthodontics in Parsippany, NJ.

A woman of remarkable warmth and exuberance, Janet was known for her fun, bubbly personality and her zest for life. She was always on the go, embracing every opportunity to create joyous memories, especially during trips with her girlfriends. Above all, she cherished the moments spent with her family, holding her two daughters, Diane Rios and Sandra Gordon (Dan), and her beloved granddaughters, Samantha and Julia Gordon, close to her heart as well as her long time confidant, Bob Hugg. Janet's proudest accomplishment was being able to devote her time to those she loved, forming bonds that will be remembered for generations.

Janet is survived by her sister, Shirley Mitchell (Don), who shared in many wonderful moments and memories. She was preceded in death by her cherished parents, Joseph and Edna Budz, whose love and guidance shaped the remarkable woman Janet became.

Her life will be celebrated during a visitation at The Morrison Etheridge Funeral Home, Inc. in Butler, NJ, on February 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, followed by a heartfelt funeral service at the same location starting at 7:30 PM.

As we commemorate Janet Hugg's life, let us remember her as a caring and loving mother whose spirit will continue to inspire and bring joy to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed but fondly remembered in the hearts of her family and friends.
