Michael Steven Persons
Henderson, Michigan
Passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Age 56 years.
The son of Bob Persons and the late Carol Lee (Quinn) Ray was born March 11, 1965 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Swan Valley High School and Central Michigan University with a Master’s degree in Psychology. He received his Physician’s Assistant certification and worked in the Medical Field. He loved his patients. Michael served in the U.S. Navy during Desert Storm and in Iraq. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, hunting, kayaking and woodworking. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his partner, Bonnie Angst, a son and a daughter, Bobby Persons and Demi Persons; his father, Robert (Dana) Persons; his grandchildren, Kyle, Kasey, Hailey, Heinrich, Greta, Eliza and Eloise; his stepchildren, Kristi Freshour, Brett Freshour, Preston Overholt and Jerika Overholt; his brothers, Jeff (Dawn) Persons, Rick (Jenny) Schnell and Scott Schnell; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A memorial service will take place at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2023, at the W. l. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Robert Tibbits will officiate. Friends may visit with family from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday. I first met Michael When I was recovering from a fractured pelvis, after just moving back to Michigan from Arizona. He was such a good person and lectured me on being complacent about my health which brought a smile to my face because he was 100% correct. Only now did I find out that he had passed and it was quite a shock. I sent my condolences to all of his family at this tough time in their lives.

Family of Dr. Mike. Sending caring thoughts at the loss of this good man. Such a compassionate, caring individual. He was such an asset to his field of medical. May he rest in the arms of our merciful Lord now. Peace to all who mourn his passing.

Mike was my "doc" while in Chesaning, he was always full of stories and info. My heartfelt sympathies to his family and friends as I am sure he leaves a big gap in their lives.

My heartfelt condolences to all of Mike's family. I was fortunate to work with Mike for several years, and I'm thankful that we had a good friendship develop during that time. I know he loved his family above all else. I am so deeply sorry for your loss.
