Michael Lawrence Pierskalla

Michael Lawrence Pierskalla, 51, died November 19, 2023, at his residence in Corona, California. His last days were joyfully shared with his significant other, Mimosa (Mae) Calixto.
Michael Pierskalla was born May 24, 1972, in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Melbourne and Nancy (Pourier) Pierskalla. He attended Brooklyn Center High School in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corps from 1993-1997. Michael was always proud of his military service and was even more proud when his nephews followed his path and joined the Marine Corps.
Michael loved all the Star Wars movies and series. He was an avid collector of watches, action figures, and comics. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He liked visiting wineries and trying new restaurants. In his leisure time he enjoyed going to the movies and to the casino, and watching his favorite shows.
Michael is survived by his parents, Melbourne and Nancy (Pourier) Pierskalla of Rapid City, South Dakota; his son, Brandon Pierskalla of Hemet, California; his sister, Lisa (Michael) Gyorda of Silver Spring, Maryland; nephews, Bryson Reyes, Alec Reyes, Ryan Reyes, and Zachary Reyes; uncles and aunts, Terry and Joyce Pourier, Claire Hickey, and Norman Pierskalla; and his first cousins, Lynn Pourier, Lee Pourier, Jeff Pourier, Debra Shane, Pamela Sherry, Brenda Kihl, Jeff Pierskalla, Sue Becker, Sandra Reich, and Donald Pierskalla.
Pallbearers will be Bryson Reyes, Ryan Reyes, Zachary Reyes, Owen Pourier, Jason Wolters, and Benjamin Wolters.
Honorary Pallbearers will be all friends and family.
Visitation Services: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Saint Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 221 Knollwood Drive, Rapid City, South Dakota, 57701, with Rosary Services starting at 6:00 P.M
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Saint Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 221 Knollwood Drive, Rapid City, South Dakota, 57701.
Officiating: Father Ed Witt, S.J.
Burial Services: 12:30 P.M. December 6, 2023, at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, South Dakota.
