Survivors include his wife, Frances Gail Poole; son, John Marcus Poole and his husband, Charles Celestine of Beaumont; and daughter, Ryanne Elizabeth Poole Walker and her husband, Fred Edwin Walker III; stepdaughter, Leslie Joy Downs; and grandson, Chase Ayden Downs, all of Lumberton.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ronald Charles Poole; and son-in-law, Bryan Inman Downs.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society of Southeast Texas, 2050 Spindletop Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77705.
A gathering of Mr. Poole's family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A burial of his cremated body will be held at Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont, at a later date.
