Michael was born to Charles and Helen Preston in Fort Worth, Texas, on June 27, 1947.
He proudly served in the US Navy, where he received a National Defense Service Metal during the Vietnam War.
In 2012 Michael married the love of his life, Debora. The two of them had the best 22 years together. Michael was passionate about church, the Bible, and his grandchildren. He did not have much but he gave freely and often what he did have.
Michael is survived by his wife Debora. His son Colby, daughter-in-law Lauren, and grandchildren, Kase, Avery, and Landry. Two stepdaughters Crystal Lary, Fiance Brandon Stewart, and Samantha Mullins, grandchildren, Morgan, Matthew, Emma, Carter, Wyatt, Chevy, and Chase. Brother David Sr., his wife Nelda, and all his nephews and extended family who loved him as "Uncle Mike".
Michael is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Helen Preston, and brother Charles (Larry) Preston.
We will be having a celebration of life at Billy's Auto Repair on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at 2:00 P.M.

The first time I met Mike was when my ex husband was joining to be an Elk, he was so kind and hugged me and said how happy he was to meet us, from then on we were the best of buddies!!!! I am so sad I will truly miss him! Rest in Peace my dear friend Mike

I remember Mike as a kind gentle man who loved his wife Debra and was there to help others when needed, the kind of a man who is rare in the present world and will be missed by family and friends.
