Michael A. Prushan

Michael A. Prushan, of Hartsville, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2024. He was 62. Michael was born in Philadelphia to Ruth (nee Sandler) and Earl F. Prushan. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Denise; his parents, Ruth and Earl; daughters, Julia, Eleanor, Tessa and dog Finnley; brother, Lee (Angela); mother-in-law, Rita Kinney and nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his brother, Hal K. Prushan.
Mike Prushan's early career was in finance, operations, and quality at General Electric and Honeywell. He served as Chief Learning Officer at Temple Health. He taught at DeVry University, Temple University, and Rosemont College. In 2021, Mike was awarded a Master of Arts in Counseling and has been a Licensed Counselor/Therapist since 2023. He also holds BSBA and MBA degrees from Drexel University. Mike was a mensch. He adored his family and the many he considered family. He spent his time helping wherever needed, eating pizza with extra sauce, cheering for Philly sports teams and joking around.
Relatives and friends are invited to Mike's visitation on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 10 to 11:30 AM at McGhee Givnish Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Ave., Southampton, PA. Services will begin at 11:30. Internment will be private at a later date. The Prushan family has requested donations in Mike's name be made to Shriners Children's at lovetotherescue.org.
