Michael Riggs, Sr. Obituary
On September 3rd, 2025, our beloved Michael R. Riggs Sr. entered into the presence of our Lord and was reunited with daughter, Kristin, in Heaven. Michael was born April 25th, 1962, to the late Daisy and late Charles Riggs. He was the devoted father of Michael Riggs, Jr, the late daughter Kristin Riggs, and daughter Jennifer Riggs. He was the cherished grandfather of grandchildren, Bella and Christian Riggs, and dear brother of Charles Riggs, Paul Riggs, William Riggs and Marianne Anderson. Michael is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members.
Michael will be remembered for his dedication to his children, his witty humor and ability to make the people around him smile. He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him.
“Blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted” (Matthew 5:4)
Jesus comforts us with these words, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live” (John 11: 25)
Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers for Michael R. Riggs, Sr. A public visitation will be held at our Arbutus location on Thursday, September 11th from 4 PM to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, September 12th at 10 AM, with interment immediately following at New Cathedral Cemetery.
