Michael Kenneth Roberts

Michael Kenneth Roberts, 79, of Kimmell, went to Heaven peacefully at 11:53 p.m. on June 14, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Mike was born on December 15, 1944, in Nassau, Bahamas, a son of the late Donald and Christine (Stratton) Roberts. His upbringing in the Bahamas was rich in faith and family.
He worked in Sales and distribution at General Agency and then managed Roberts Corner Mart, a family-owned business. He then became self-employed in custodial and lawn care. He was known for his strong work ethic and attention to detail. On December 27, 1981 he married Alice Buckles and they later moved to Indiana.
He was devoted to his church family at Ormas Baptist Church where he faithfully served for 34 years. All who knew him remember his warm-hearted personality, love for his Lord Jesus Christ, and affection for his family. He enjoyed filmmaking and spending time in the Bahamas, working with his hands, watching westerns, and giving gifts.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Alice; two children, Rachel Marie and Joshua Michael (Alaina) Roberts; and a sister, Gaylene Annette Gahagan.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Gregory Donald Roberts.
A celebration of life will be held at Ormas Baptist Church at a later date (arrangements to be determined)
