With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Michael (Robin) Christopher Raven
10.28.1966 | 06.08.2025
Michael (Robin) Christopher Raven, 58 of Gainesville, TX passed away after a brief illness on 06.08.2025 surrounded by loving family.
Michael was born 10.28.1966 in Van Nuys, CA, and the son of Mathew & Kay (Wooten) | Williamson.
Michael attended Wills Point High School and Bryan Adams High School and graduated in 1985, then went on to University of North Texas, earning a degree in Bachelor of Science ~ Social Services.
Michael retired in 2022 as the Executive Director of Social Services @ the Salvation Army, Denton County TX.
Michael loved fashion, music, art and history. He loved watching movies and documentaries. He enjoyed a lot of other things, but the very best quality Michael had was his undying commitment of helping others with his caring and loving nature.
Michael was a very special man. He most certainly was one of a kind and his passing has left a giant hole in a lot of hearts that loved and adored him.
Remaining to cherish Michael's memory are his sister Kelley grace (Bill) Belcher of Cape Coral, FL, his brother Loyd Pierce Williamson of Myrtle beach, SC and his sister and very best friend Tiffany (Isidro) Coddington of Gainesville, TX. He had a very special bond with his nieces and nephews, Shatavia (Samuel) Hernandez, Selina (Josh) Santos-Manuel, Nadya Santos, Marisia Santos of Gainesville, TX and Lauren Williamson of NC. Michael's nephews Desmond Johnson of Gainesville, TX and Christian Williamson of NC. His nieces and nephews were his pride and joy. He loved them as if they were his own children. Michael is survived by 10 great-nieces/nephews that loved him dearly. He also had a special bond with the family dog "Bleu"-in which he nick-named Bleuberry.
Preceding Michael in death are his parents, Mathew & Kay Williamson, his oldest sister Sharon Kay (Gilliland) Kerrigan, and youngest brother Michael Paul Williamson.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
