Michael Eugene Rogers Sr., 65, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at his home in Cleveland surrounded by his family and friends. Mike was born on May 17, 1959 in Cleveland, TN, to the late A.J. Rogers, and Shirley McCracken Maddux. He attended Bradley Central High School. Mike was a truck driver, diesel mechanic, and shop foreman for over 15 years at First Fleet. He was of the Baptist faith.He enjoyed spending time with his beloved family and would always give a name to any animals he encountered. Mike loved with his whole heart, and never met a stranger.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Rogers; his granddaughter, Kylie Cash; along with David Marler Sr., and Harold Maddux.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 36 years, Tammy Rogers; children, Michael (Tara) Rogers Jr., Nichole (Josh) Carroll, Casey Rogers, and Dennis Rogers; his grandchildren, Lina (Isaiah) Pickel, Tristan (Rylee) Rogers, Mckaela Rogers, Mckenna Rogers, Einslee Rogers, Colby Rogers, Cole Rogers, Peyton Rogers, Kayden Rogers, Taylor Rose Rogers, Dalton Bigham, Reece Loemker, Lainee Loemker, and Logan Carroll; great grandchild, Nehemiah Pickel; his daughter in law, April; Sheena Epsy; siblings, David (Ed) Marler, Jerry (Sylvia) Marler, Dena Myers, Dennis Johnson, and Jacob Marler; his sister in law, Irene Rogers; and his special fur baby, Yelpie; along with a host of extended family and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home at the Ridge with Preacher J.R. Ivey, and Michael Rogers Jr. officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm prior to the service.
A graveside service is to follow at Benton Memorial Gardens with Larry Rogers, Corey Marler, Isaiah Pickel, Tristan Rogers, Josh Carroll, and Scott Cantrell serving as pallbearers.
