Michael B Romines, age 60 of White Pine, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare Systems. Mike was a former employee at Shady Grove Utilities and after a brief stint at Coleman Enterprises he went to work for the Town of White Pine Water Department, where he was currently working. He was a Lifetime Member and former Captain of Jefferson County Rescue Squad where he had 35 years of service, and was instrumental in starting the rescue diver program in Jefferson Co. where he was a master diver, a Lifetime Member of Dandridge Fire Department with 10 years of service, former chief of the Baneberry Fire Department an EMT with Jefferson County EMS since 1992, and a Lifetime Member of 39 years with the White Pine Fire Department where he mentored several of the current fire fighters and officers. Mike lived a life of servitude to Jefferson County and its citizens. He will be missed. 

He is preceded in death by parents, Jack and Bobbie Romines. He is survived by his sister, Valerie Romines, brother, Russell (Jill) Romines, nephew Ben Romines, niece, Kelly Romines, several cousins and his fire family and friends. 

The family has requested that In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Donations be made to White Pine Fire Department, P.O. Box 1086, White Pine, TN 37890. A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00pm at First Baptist Church in White Pine. Funeral Service will follow at 7:00pm with the Rev. Brian Osborne officiating. Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, 2:00pm in White Pine Cemetery.
