Michael Rose Obituary
He was born to the late Robert and Doris Rose on December 29, 1948, in Birmingham, Alabama. He was a retired U.S. Army Veteran and also retired from Coats & Clark. He faithfully attended Liberty Hill Church in Eastanollee, Georgia. He enjoyed spending time and traveling with his family, especially his great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Stephen Case Pless.
Survivors include his wife, Elese Holbrooks Rose; daughter, Melissa Pless (Stephen); grandson, Dalton Pless (LeeAnna); great-grandchildren, Bowen and Chloe Pless; sisters, Daune Scott (Kenney), Denisa Miller (David); brother, Johnny Rose; brothers-in-law, Larry Holbrooks and Roger Slocum; as well as several nieces & nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 29, 2026, 2 p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Cody Kelley and The Reverend Ken Jackson officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Stephen Pless, Dalton Pless, Larry Holbrooks, Nick Holbrooks, Roger Slocum and Clay Slocum.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Rock Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Michael "Mike" Rose.
