Michael "Mike" Dwain Ryan of Winter Haven, Florida passed away peacefully at the Good Shepard Hospice in Auburndale, Florida on July 8, 2025. He was born in Port Huron, Michigan, on June 1, 1952, to the late Adrian and Ada Ruth Ryan. Mike formerly resided in Callahan, Florida.
Mike was employed with WR Townsend Contracting for 28 years. Later, he was employed with Landstar Trucking Company for eight years; and then he was employed with the Road Runners, Manheim Jacksonville, for close to two years. He was a very caring and compassionate man. Mike was a man of many talents; from working a skill saw to baking some of the most delicious dishes. His genuine interest in helping others made him a cherished family member and friend. Mike's warmth and kindness will definitely be missed.
Mike is survived by his wife, Jan Long Ryan; daughters, Jennifer Lynn Ryan Frye, Michelle Ryan Peterson, Rebecca Bartell, Casandra Jones; son, Ryan Bartell (Cheryl); grandchildren, Cody Bartell, Josh Bartell (Olivia), Teddy James Peterson, III, Michael Justin Peterson, Megan Nicole Nelson, Walker, Wyatt, Riley Ann, Reagan Jan; great grandchildren, Walker, McKenzie Laura Joy, Derek Nicholas, Jr.; brother-in-law, Steve Long (Vicki); and sister-in-law, Ann Long Webb (Douglas).

A Graveside Service for Mike will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery where military honors will be rendered with Pastor Jason Reid officiating.
