August 2, 1947 - February 23, 2026
Michael Francisco Salas (Pops) passed away on Feb. 23, 2026 in Phoenix, AZ. Mike Sr. (Pops) was born on Aug. 02, 1947 in Yuma, AZ to his Father Fernando Ysidro Salas and his Mother Aurora (Dora) Gonzales Salas.
Mike (Pops) was a proud Vietnam Veteran, Yuma High Graduate of 1965 and a huge U of A Wildcat, LA Dodgers, and LA Lakers fan. He will be missed dearly by all his friends, family and loved ones.
Mike Sr. (Pops) is survived by his Brother, Nick Salas (Nick Jr/Christina); Sons, Christien (Matthew/Santiago), Fernando (Jack/Ciddy/Zach), David (Jasmyne/David Jr), Jesus (Chuy)(Olive/Odyn); Step Daughters, Alicia, Ashley, Elizabeth; many Nieces/Nephews and 3 Great Grandkids.
Mike Sr. (Pops) was preceded in death by his beloved Mom, Dora G. Salas; Dad, Fernando Y. Salas; Brother, Fernando Salas, Brother, John (Johnny) Salas; Son, Michael H. Salas, Son Paul Salas, and his beloved animals Mote, Negrita, and Scoobs and many more.
Visitation will be at Johnson Mortuary on Friday, March 13th 2026 from 5pm to 9pm with Rosary at 7pm.
Mass will be at Our Lady Of Guadalupe (on 15th Avenue) on Saturday, March 14th 2026 at 10:30am.
The Salas Family would like to thank Mike's (Pops) many friends and family members.
Pallbearers will be Chris, Fernando, David, Jesus (Chuy), David Jr, Zach, and Jack.
