I am so sorry to hear about Mike's passing. He was just a wonderful person whom I knew as a student at UNH. A great, inspiring and kind leader - I learned a great deal from him. Blessings to Lucy and his family. Martha Byam

Condolences to the entire Samara family. A tremendous loss of a wonderful individual who led an inspiring and accomplished life. I knew Mike when he was very young. He was from the Sheridan-Emmett Park neighborhood. We played Pop Warner football together for the Central Giants. We were very good. We could never beat the North Warriors, but we were the second best team in the city for years. As teenagers, we brought respect to the tenements where some of our grandparents lived could not speak English. All they did was work hard for us to live a better life. Mike was quiet, strong and most importantly smart. He could coach the other linemen as to what they needed to do on every play. He knew the entire playbook. He was a guy you wanted on your team. We went our different ways in high school, but I always knew he would be a success. It's just one of those things you feel about people. I am so thrilled with his accomplishments in higher education and the wonderful family he helped to nurture and to thrive. R.I.P. Mike. You made us all proud.
