His surviving relatives include his loving wife, Brenda Campbell Sapp; son, Nathan Sapp (Catherine); daughter, Aimee Nichols; 6-grandchildren, Thomas, Callie, and Lacey Sapp, Mallee, Benjamin, and Samuel Nichols; brothers, James Rudolph Sapp, Jr. (Jan), Donald Paul Sapp, Sr. (Debbie), Stephen Patrick Sapp (Becky), and Murray Kevin Sapp (Pam); numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Michael's services to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. followed by a Requiem Mass at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Homewood. His family wishes to express our deepest gratitude for the love, support, and comfort shown by friends and professionals. Charter Funeral Home in Calera is handling his arrangements.

Just today heard about your passing & today I grieve for all the strength God gave you that you lost in hospitals & operating tables. I can remember at my own Mothers Funeral all the empathy you showed to me that day...how very KIND you were to me. You are gone, my friend, but not forgotten
