Lisa Jones, 62, of Alabaster, Alabama passed away surrounded by family on August 19, 2025. Lisa was born on December 18, 1962, in Knoxville, Tennessee to Edward and Viola Bowers. Lisa's greatest joy was her family, especially her grandbabies. She spent much of her life pouring into the children around her whether that was in her role as Mom, Grammie, teacher or daycare provider.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Mike; children, Tony (Melissa) Jones and Krissie (Douglas) Pate; grandchildren, Conley, Keagan, Avery, Beckett and Nolan; brothers, Eddie and David Bowers; as well as numerous and well-loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters JoAnn Johnson and Susan Heaton.
A celebration of Lisa's life will be held on Saturday, August 23 at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church of Alabaster in the Restore sanctuary. Visitation will precede the service at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lisa's memory to The DAY Program of Alabaster.
We would like to thank all of you who have joined with us in prayer and hope over the last 13 years. For the family, friends, doctors, nurses and therapists that have invested their time and care, our hope is you carry Lisa's memory forward and impact others the way she has each of you.
