Michael Sclafani

Michael Sclafani 76 of Belmont passed away peacefully with his family on December 23rd. He is survived by his loving wife of over 53 years MaryAnn (Mantone) of Belmont, his sister Catherine Sclafani of Belmont, son Michael Sclafani and his wife Carey of Bedford, son Marcus Sclafani and his wife Kristina of Quincy, his 5 grandchildren who meant the world to him- Michael, Gianmarco, Massimo, Lucas and Mariana, as well as beloved nephews and nieces. Michael was born and raised in Cambridge surrounded by many aunts, uncles and cousins who he loved dearly, he attended St Mary's before receiving degrees from Wentworth and Bentley. He was happiest while watching his children and grandchildren compete in athletics and their other various activities near and far, driving through blizzards and torrential downpours to show his love and support. He won numerous championships in cribbage, darts, pool and softball. He was quiet but always had sage advice and words of wisdom for his loved ones and was true to himself and a fierce defender of his family always! VIVA!
Relatives and friends are invited to visit in the DeVito Funeral Home 761 Mt. Auburn St., WATERTOWN, on Monday December 29th from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home on Tuesday December 30th at 9:00am followed by a funeral Mass in St. Luke's Church, Belmont at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Highland Meadow Cemetery in Belmont. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to a scholarship in Mike's name at the Retired Men's Club of Arlington @ P.O.
