Obituary
Guest Book
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Michael Serpas, a beloved father, husband, friend, and the life of every party. He left us on 02-17-2025 but his larger-than-life spirit and unforgettable presence will live on forever.
Michael was a man who never met a stranger. To him, everyone was family, and he made sure they felt that way. Whether he was hosting one of his legendary crawfish boils, shucking oysters, baking lemon meringue pies and stuffed artichokes for friends and family, or showing off his love for cooking, he did it all with passion and a cold beer in hand.
Known for his sharp sense of style, Michael dressed to impress—some would say he dressed like a Dago, a title he proudly embraced and wanted to be called. His confidence and charm made him impossible to ignore, and his laughter could fill any room. That same laughter now lives on through his daughter Heidi’s laugh.
Music was the soundtrack of his life. Whether he was jamming out to Chicago, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, or even KC and the Sunshine Band, he did it with soul and energy, making sure everyone around him felt the rhythm too.
Michael is survived by his wife Alice Serpas, his daughter, Heidi Faust and her husband Tucker Faust. He is also survived by his brothers Roy Serpas and David Serpas, and their father, Roy Serpas - and countless friends who became family over the years. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosalie Serpas and brother Stephen Serpas.
A celebration of his incredible life will be held at a later date, where we’ll honor him the way he would’ve wanted—good music, good food, and even better company. In lieu of flowers, please raise a glass in his honor and remember the joy he brought to every moment.
Michael, you were one of a kind. You lived life to the absolute fullest. The parties won’t be the same without you, but your spirit will never fade. Rest easy, and keep the music playing.
