David Glenn Baker Sr., born on November 5, 1960, passed away on January 12, 2026, in Covington, Louisiana. He was a loving son, father, brother, and grandfather, cherished by his friends.
David was the son of Ruby Rachel Roubion Baker. He was a proud father to his children, David Glenn Baker II (Laney), Samantha Baker Hammond (Joshua), Katherine Marie Baker Herman. He also had the joy of being a grandfather to Abram Irwin, Abigail Baker, Jocelyn Irwin, Kensington Baker, Theodore Baker, and Odette Baker. David is survived by his brothers, Robert Wayne Baker and Gerald Ray Baker.
David is preceded in death by his father Maurice "Moe" Edmond Baker and his granddaughter Anna McLaughlin.
Throughout his life, David was known for his interests and hobbies that brought him joy. He was a member of the Jaycees and the NRA, and he had a passion for collecting guns and sports cards. In addition to these hobbies, he enjoyed carpentry and riding motorcycles, which were significant parts of his life.
David Glenn Baker Sr. will be remembered for his love of family, his friendships, and the hobbies that defined his passions. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
