Michael L. Sevcik, 63, of Carroll Twp., Monongahela, passed away Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at his home. Born February 3, 1961 in McKeesport, PA he was the son of the late Robert L. and June L. Trumpe Sevcik. A resident of Carroll Twp. for the past 30 years, Mr. Sevcik was a member of St. Andrews R.C. Church, Monongahela. Mike was retired from Supervalue, where he worked as a warehouseman and employed at Parzynski Funeral Home for the past three years. He loved being outdoors, cutting his grass, working in his yard, and fishing. Mike loved to fix everything that he could. He was always friendly, loved talking to everyone and helping others. Michael celebrated 30 years of sobriety and had a kind spirit, dedication to his family, and to anyone he could help on their sobriety journey. He had unwavering faith to serve as a lasting testament to a life well-lived and deeply cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He considered being a father to his daughter, Michelle, his greatest life accomplishment.
He is survived by his wife Carla Mannina Sevcik to whom he would have celebrated 38 years of marriage on July 12, daughter Michelle (Penny) Sevcik, brother Ronald (Jen) Sevcik, brother in law Joseph Mannina, two sisters in law Susan Sevcik, Gina (Kevin) Borkowski, father in law & mother in law Joseph & Frances Mannina, and nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother John Sevcik.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held Monday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by funeral mass at 10:00 am at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Msgr. James Gaston as celebrant. Interment will take place in Sacred Heart.
