Cochran – Michael C. "Mickey" Shurling, age 66, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025, in the Doctors Hospital of Augusta. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. The family will greet friends from 10:00 A.M. until time for the service Tuesday at Mathis Funeral Home. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mickey, born in Perry, had lived in the Roddy Community since 2001. He was the son of the late Clarence Clifton Shurling and Betty Lucille Goodroe. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Steve Goodroe. Mickey was a retired civil service sheet metal worker from Robins Air Force Base.

Survivors are his wife, Beverly Bowman Shurling of Cochran; his children, Tommy "T.J." (Candace) Floyd of Cochran and Jessica Floyd of Cochran; his grandchildren, Hunter Davis and Riley Davis of Cochran; his sisters, Liz (James) Head and Sharon (Ray) Howard all of Hawkinsville; brother, Paul (Paula McLeod) Goodroe of Hawkinsville; his half-sister, Twila McDuffie of Hawkinsville; several nieces and nephews; his fur babies, Prissy, R.J., Sophie and Roxie.

The family is at 603 Bowman Road, Roddy Community, Cochran.
