Michael P. "Lou" Silversmith, 65, of Lyndonville, NY, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Unity Hospital, Rochester, NY, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on June 3, 1958, in Lockport, NY, he was the son of the late Gerald and Joan (Crawford) Silversmith.
Lou was a lifelong Lyndonville resident and retired from being a truck driver. He was an avid junk collector and was known for his haggling. In his spare time, he enjoyed solving crossword puzzles.
Lou is survived by his loving companion, Patty Pisano; four children, Louis (Nicole) Silversmith, Lucas (Monica) Silversmith, Amber (James) Giarla, and Ashley Silversmith; two step-children, Tiffany (Ted) Champney and Brandon (Rena) Pisano, his former wife, Colleen Silversmith, nineteen grandchildren, Nate, Chase, Sofia, Arianna, Devin, Brody, Trent, Peyton, Christian (Maddie), Mitchell, Emily, Liz, Laci, James Jr., Wyatt, Faith, Peyton, Logan, and Kaiden, six step-grandchildren, Jaiden, TJ, Brooklyn, Peyton, Quinn and Maddy, and a great-granddaughter, Aurora.
Besides his parents, Lou is predeceased by a brother, Terry Silversmith, and a sister, Shirley Silversmith.
Relatives and friends may call on Friday, February 2, 2024, from 4-7 PM at the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY 14103. A private service will be held at the family's convenience.
