Michael Dale Skeens, 66 of Wayne, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 16, 2024 at his home. He was born May 6, 1958 at Huntington, WV, a son of the late Monroe Skeens and Romaine Kemp Skeens. Mike attended Calvary Baptist Church. He was retired from Akers Packaging where he worked for 30 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Grover Skeens and two infant brothers and one sister, Bonnie Skeens. Survivors include the love of his life, Annette Skeens; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alvin and Hazel Fields of Wayne, WV; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Randall and Diana Fields of Wayne, WV; two brothers, Jerry (Susan) Skeens of Chesapeake, OH, Scott Skeens of Wayne, WV; three sisters, Mary (John) Frazier of Johnstown, OH, Anna Noble of Wayne, WV, Debbie Talbert of Huntington, WV; a sister-in-law, Katie Skeens of South Point, OH; special nieces and great nieces who he loved dearly, Shelby (Dustin) Kitts, Everleigh Kitts of Genoa, WV, Barbara (Lee) Erlwein, Brianna Cutlip of Huntington, WV, Lisa (Shane) Glover, Halie Bragg, Ella Glover of Ona, WV; a special cousin who was like a son, Dylan (Elizabeth) Fields of Wayne, WV; a special cousin Gordon (Amy) Fields of Wayne; aunt and uncle, Buck and Gypsy Fields of Wayne, WV cousins Katrina Reeves of Wayne, WV, Ashley (Kody) Baumann and Amelia Baumann, all of Huntington, WV and a host of nieces, nephews and friends too numerous to mention. Mike always put others first and was always there to lend a helping hand when anyone needed it, especially his family. Mike was very talented. There was hardly anything he couldn't build or repair. His greatest accomplishment in life was being a Christian. Everyone that knew him knew he loved the Lord.
