Michael Snow, passed away at his home in Au Sable Forks on January 21, 2026, at the age of 69. He was born on December 27, 1956, in Liverpool, England to Alvin Snow and Gertrude Cassidy. After serving honorably in the United States Navy, Michael continued his commitment to service with the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision, where he retired as a Sergeant.
In 2010 he moved to North Carolina with his beloved wife before she passed away. They lived happily together in the beautiful weather. They enjoyed the beaches, they had fun shopping at estate sales, visiting museums, and spending quality time together. He enjoyed the great outdoors, spending countless hours camping and fishing; his love for cooking was renowned among family and friends. One of Michael's greatest joys was sharing his love of reading fantasy and science fiction with his daughter, creating cherished memories together as they explored new worlds through books. He was also a top-notch pinochle player as well and enjoyed the family game over long nights of drinks and laughs with the family.
An accomplished and tournament-winning horseshoe player, he enjoyed the camaraderie and competition of the game. He also treasured attending music festivals with his daughter, bonding over shared experiences and a mutual appreciation for music.
He was preceded in death by his wife Cindy Casler-Snow, and his parents.
He is survived by his children Kayla Snow and Ross Snow; his siblings David, Andy and Cathy; and his grandson Clark Snow Rogers.
