The Crabiel Home for Funerals - MilltownMichael Solar, 41, passed away on December 10, 2025, leaving behind a life marked by love, laughter, and deep devotion to family and faith.
Michael was born on October 20, 1984, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to Denise and John Solar of South River, New Jersey. He went on to earn his master’s degree in engineering from Rutgers University, an accomplishment that reflected his intelligence, dedication, and perseverance.
Michael was a devoted father to his two beloved children, Amelia and Gabriel, who were the greatest joys of his life. He was the cherished son of Denise, whose role in his life helped shape the man he became, and a devoted brother to his sisters, Laurissa and Marie, with whom he shared an unbreakable bond filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. Family was important to Michael, and he took pride in being present for those who mattered most to him.
A committed and active member of his church, Michael drew strength from his faith and found purpose in his community. He touched many lives through his kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit. Michael had a rare gift for making others feel valued and cared for, and his warmth, humor, and compassion will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Michael leaves behind his beloved children, his sisters, his mother, extended family, and countless friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
A Memorial Service celebrating Michael’s life will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi RC Church, 100 James St., South River, followed by a celebration of life at Ria Mar Restaurant at 12:30pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made in his honor to Bethel Shelter of Rock Hill, SC, or The Dilworth Center of Charlotte, NC.
