SFC Michael Anthony Spivey Sr.

Respectfully, we announce the passing of SFC (Ret) Michael Anthony Spivey, Sr., 66, of Crawfordville, Florida.

Funeral Services for SFC Spivey will be 1:00PM, Friday, November 28, 2025 in Tallahassee National Cemetery, 5015 Apalachee Parkway, Tallahassee, FL 32311.

Viewing-visitation is from 4:00PM - 6:00PM on Thursday, November 27, 2025 at the TILLMAN OF TALLAHASSEE CHAPEL (850-942-1950).

Michael grew up in Tallahassee, near North Ridge Road. He attended the public schools of Leon County and after attending Godby High School, he later earned his GED and voluntarily enlisted into the United States Army. While assigned to active duty, Mike was the recipient of numerous awards and commendations, including, but not limited to the Army Commendation Medal (3rd Award), Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award), Army Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), National Defense Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer's Professional Development Ribbon with numeral 3, the Expert Marksmanship and the NCO Education System Advanced Course. He served proudly as an Infantryman during Desert Storm. After 21 years of dedicated service, he retired from active duty.

Following his seperation, Michael settled in Killeen, Texas where he remained for several years. During those years, he worked as a truck driver and would live between Killeen, Tallahassee and Jacksonville, Florida. In his leisure, he loved being around aircraft, flying, bowling, skating anf fishing.

It is our profound honor to have been entrusted with the care of Mr. Spivey and to serve the Spivey Family.
