Michael James Stinson, a beloved husband, father, son, and brother, passed away on August 29, 2025, in Dublin, Georgia. He was 42 years old. Born on March 5, 1983, in McRae, Georgia, Michael brought joy and positivity to everyone he encountered, creating lasting memories that will be cherished by his family and friends.
Michael dedicated many years of his life to the steel industry as a Leadman at Steel Fab of Dublin, where he was known for his hard work and commitment to excellence. He thrived on the challenges his career presented and valued the relationships he built throughout his professional journey.
A cherished aspect of Michael's life was his deep love for his family and the great outdoors. He spent countless hours enjoying nature's beauty, often sharing those moments with his family. Michael's commitment to his loved ones was evident in the time he devoted to them; he was a constant source of support and encouragement, guiding his children with love and wisdom.
Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Sirena Horne Stinson of Dublin. He is also survived by his children, Nicholas Lightbourne, Devin Lightbourne, Lucas Stinson, and Trandal Stinson, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy. His parents, Franklin and Teresa Stinson of Dublin, continue to hold Michael’s memory close to their hearts. He is remembered fondly by his maternal grandmother, Nellie Blankenship of Milan, and his sister, Jennifer Stinson (Matt) Thomas of Dublin. Michael's legacy lives on through several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who all loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Emory and Billie Ruth Stinson, and his maternal grandfather, Clyde Blankenship.
A Funeral Service celebrating Michael’s remarkable life will be held at 11:00A.M., Monday, September 1, 2025, at the Community Church of God, 103 Community Church Rd., Helena. Friends and family are invited to gather together during this time to honor and remember a life well-lived.
Michael James Stinson's spirit and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. His passion for life and dedication to those he loved will serve as an enduring inspiration to all.
