Michael "Bubby" Strong, a cherished father, sibling, and friend, passed away on January 1, 2026, at the age of 55. Born in
West Liberty, KY, on March 23, 1970, Bubby was a man of the earth with a passion for life that was as undeniable as the rumble of an engine on a rugged trail.
The son of the late Charles Strong and Tressie Mae Nickell, Bubby carried with him a legacy of family and a love for the simple joys in life that became his guiding light. Despite the loss of his brother Micheal Strong, sister Sharon Strong, and beloved daughter Natosha Parra Moncada, his spirit remained undaunted, touching the lives of many with his warm smile and generous nature.
He is survived by his dear daughter Brianna Strong of
Paris, KY, whom he adored and who inherits his tenacity and joy for life. His memory will also be embraced by siblings Debbie Strong, Sheila Strong, Louise Allen, and Nell Allen, each of whom shared a special bond with Bubby that fortified the family through all of life's trials and triumphs.
Bubby's life was enriched and will be lovingly remembered by his nieces Cheyenne Mitchell and Kayla Stanfield, and his nephews Chuck Soard, Brandon Strong, Jonathan Acree, and Ryan Acree, all of
Paris, KY. Their lives were profoundly impacted by his playful spirit and infinite kindness. Bubby also leaves behind an extended family and community that felt the strength of his presence.
Professionally, he spent his days working diligently as a farmhand and a devoted groundskeeper. His work ethic, reliability, and down-to-earth demeanor made him a cherished colleague and a steadfast friend.
Beyond the toil of his work, Bubby found his true escape and joy in the world of off-roading and trail riding. His pride and passion went into the Samurai that he built with heart and hand, was an emblem of his inventive spirit and rugged individuality. Trail-riding wasn't just a hobby for Bubby; it was a way of embracing the freedom and adventure that he valued so deeply.
Bubby's life was a journey of resilience, love, and sheer joy. His laughter, which echoed amid the rustling trees and open skies during his off-road escapades, remains a resounding memory for all who loved him. Michael "Bubby" Strong lived a life that reflected the beauty of the world he nurtured-with his hands, his heart, and his indomitable spirit.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Lusk McFarland Funeral Home Chapel, 1120 Main Street
Paris, KY 40361. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the hour of service on Friday January 9th, 2026, at Lusk McFarland Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Tyler Davidson, Allen Fryman, Michael Sell, Mike Allen, Thomas Hopkins and Hunter Davidson.
