Michael Alan "Mike" Suddath

Mr. Michael Alan Suddath, age 59, of Louisville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Saturday, May 11, 2024, with his family by his side. Mike was born on March 31, 1965, in Russellville, Kentucky to the late James Hobert Suddath and Geraldine (Johnson) Suddath. He was a United States Army veteran, a retiree after 23 years of service from the Army National Guard. Mike was dedicated to his country, giving selflessly on many tours of duty. He earned many medals for his bravery and patriotism. He retired from General Electric after more than 8 years of service. He loved woodworking in his garage, telling his grandchildren great stories, he was a dedicated husband for 38 years, a wonderful father to his two children, and simply Pawpaw to his 7 loving grandchildren. Mike will be truly missed by all who loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, In-laws Billy and Nellie Tungate, and grandson Huck Heines.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Sandra Kay Suddath; daughter Casey Heines (Andy), son Randy Suddath (Emily), grandchildren Hudson, Cooper, Oliver, and Maverick Heines, Aubrey, Clayton and Harper Suddath, sisters Rita Tungate (Tim), Kathy Hamilton (Alan), Cindy Ball (Jeff), brother Tony Suddath, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other dear family, and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00pm on Thursday, May 16, 2024, in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd) with burial to follow. Family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 12:00pm to 8:00pm and again on Thursday from 10:00am until the time of service at 12:00. With burial to follow at Brookland Cemetery.
