It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Michael (Mike) Joseph Sullivan on April 28, 2025 at the age of 28. He will be remembered for his positive spirit, warm personality and genuine interest in others. His generosity knew no bounds.
Born in Ann Arbor, MI, Mike spent his childhood in Dublin, OH until the age of 16 when he moved to Gilbert, AZ. Mike commissioned into the Army out of the United States Military Academy in 2019. He rose to the rank of Captain and was stationed at Fort Huachuca, AZ at the time of his passing. Mike was a proud and dedicated soldier, who devoted himself to years of selfless service. His previous duty stations included Fort Benning, GA and Fort Drum, NY. He made many lifelong friends at West Point and throughout his career.
Mike enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hiking, running and biking. He was proud of his renovation projects in his first home - Big Blue.
Mike was a loving husband to Kara, who he married in 2020, and they were a great team building their future together. In 2023, Mike became a father to his twin children, Connor and Olivia. He loved being a Dad and spent many hours reading and playing with them. His unconditional love and devotion for his family were evident in their daily activities and weekend excursions. His three rescue dogs, Oliver, Stella and Nova completed the family.
In addition to his wife and children, Mike is survived by his parents, Timothy and Mary Sullivan, his brother Daniel (Emily) Sullivan, and his sister Jennifer (Blake) Chaney. Also survived by his grandmother, Margaret Schnur, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Preceded in death by grandparents Robert and Caroline Sullivan and Harold Schnur.
Mike will live in our hearts forever and will never be forgotten.

Without a shadow of a doubt, Mike was truly one of the greatest men I ever knew. He was a lifelong friend and comrade, a truly selfless, wonderful, and genuine friend.
Whether it was going out of his way to teach others how to drive, helping peers and subordinates with schoolwork, being the voice of reason for his friends or just lending a helping hand, Mike was always the first to put himself out there for others. He was a role model human being for others to emulate.
I cherish the many memories we made at school and the memories we made outside of it.
Mike Sullivan was and always will be my brother. The world is truly less without him. His undeniable impact will live on forever in those that he touched.
