Michael Swales Obituary

He attended the Rochester Institute of Technology and worked at Xerox Corporation for more than thirty years. Mike served in a variety of positions as a scientist, engineer, and team leader. He developed many of the processes that make copying, printing, and automated check writing. While at Xerox he earned 25 U.S. patents as an individual or as a member of a team. He retired at a young age and enjoyed being outdoors, learning new things, drawing, and painting.
He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, brother, and sister. He is survived by his wife, Gail Wood and their two cats and two dogs.
Services will be private and take place in Central New York. Relatives and friends may contact Gail at [email protected].
Memorial contributions may be made in Mike's memory to Coastal Hospice www.coastalhospice.org or to Helping Hounds Dog Rescue www.helpinghoundsdogrescue.org

Been a long time since I´ve seen Michael and met you Gail. Happy he found someone to be happy with. He was my favorite cousin, being only a few months older than me. Wished he had stayed in touch with our family. Almost no one left now. No Aunts or Uncles. Take care Gail. Will have a Mass said for him. Donna K
