Michael Duane Tabor, age 48, of Austin, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday March 1, 2025, in Rochester, Minnesota. Michael was born on August 6, 1976, in Austin to Duane and Mary (Gile) Tabor. He attended Austin High School and worked various jobs throughout his life. On October 18, 1996, he married Randi Lippert in Sauk County, Wisconsin. The couple was blessed with one son, Cole Tabor. They later divorced. Michael was passionate about sports; he was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan and enjoyed playing softball. He also enjoyed spending time fishing.
Michael is survived by his mother, Mary (Daniel) Hofer of Seminole, Oklahoma; son, Cole Tabor of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; significant other, HeatherRae De Frang of Austin; siblings, Angie (Travis Anderson) Tabor of Austin; Sherri (Steven) Hand of Seminole, Oklahoma; uncles, John (Kathy) Gile of Rochester and Brian Gile of San Ramon, California; aunt Susan Tabor of Austin , Minnesota; godmother, Kathy Knutson of Austin Minnesota; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Duane Tabor; maternal grandparents, Laverne and Marian Gile; paternal grandparents Wayne and Viola Tabor.
A celebration of life will be held in Summer of 2025. Worlein-Hoff Funeral Homes of Austin are assisting the family with arrangements.
