Michael Tedesco Obituary

Published by Legacy on Sep. 23, 2024.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael (Mike) Charles Tedesco, age 70, on September 21, 2024. Born on January 7, 1954, in Westport, Connecticut, he was the son of John "Squinty" Tedesco and Phyllis Goessinger Tedesco.
Mike is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 50 years, Sharon Tedesco, and their three children: William Tedesco, Donna Snodgress, and Jamie Tedesco. He cherished his seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by his sister, Margaret Carpenter and his brother, Andrew Tedesco.
In 1980, Mike, Sharon and their children made a new home in Vero Beach, Florida, after moving from Fairfield, Connecticut. A talented automotive mechanic, Mike owned his own shop in Connecticut before joining Velde Ford in Florida. In retirement, he embraced a new passion as a karaoke DJ, sharing laughter and music at local bars and fraternal organizations.
Mike's generous spirit extended beyond his family. He volunteered as a Little League coach for several years in the American League, made a difference in the community as a volunteer for the Indian River Sheriff's Department, and was a proud member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1822 and a Past President of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #4374.
A Celebration of Mike's Life will be held later in October at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #4374.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Scully-Welsh Cancer Center in Vero Beach, Florida.
Mike's warmth, humor, and love for his family and community will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
