Verna L. Tedesco, 84, of Rochester, NY, formerly of Falconer, died Thursday July 17, 2025, in Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester.
She was born April 25, 1941, a daughter of the late F. Cecil and Ethel Barger Logan.
She was a 1959 graduate of Jamestown High School and went on to receive a degree from Jamestown Community College as a registered nurse.
Prior to her retirement in 2002, she was employed by WCA Hospital. She earlier had worked for the Jamestown Telephone Company as an operator.
She was a former communicant of Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church, Falconer and played clarinet in the Jamestown Municipal Band.
Surviving is a daughter Susan Price, with whom she made her home; a son Stephen Tedesco of Fairfax, VA; two grandsons Logan (Christina_ Price of Hilton, NY and David (Lindsay Keller) Price of Rochester; great grandchildren Catalina, Haliey, Christopher, Dylan, Atlas, Artemis, Zoey and Lucy; a brother James (Virginia) Logan of San Diego, CA and a sister Anona (Terry) Thompson of Longview, TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Tedesco, whom she married May 4, 1963, and who died July 16, 2005, and a sister Marcia Walker.
The funeral will be held at Noon Wednesday in the Lind Funeral Home where friends will be received for one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Ss Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
