Michael Joseph Tette, born on January 10, 1941, in Rochester, New York, passed away on February 11, 2026, at AdventHealth Lake Wales. He was 85 years old.
Michael had a successful career as a supervisor for home constructions and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was also known for his dedication to his community, having served as the Town Supervisor for Canadice, New York.
He was a loving husband to Dorothy "Dottie" Tette, with whom he shared 64 wonderful years of marriage. Michael was the proud father of two children: Susan M. Kostyk and her husband Barry of Lehigh Acres, and David J. Tette and his wife Lona of Livingston, Montana.
In addition to his immediate family, Michael is survived by his sisters Maryann Tette of Rochester, New York, and Therese Callari and her husband Dick of Rochester, New York, as well as his brother Thomas Tette and his wife Ginny of Naples.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Anna Mae Tette, and his siblings: Laurie Merkel, Margi Bernard, John Tette, Gerard Tette, Raymond Tette, and James Tette. He was also preceded in death by his grandchild, Christian Michael Tette.
Beyond his professional life, Michael enjoyed a variety of hobbies. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and was passionate about playing the keyboard. His simple pleasures and devotion to family and community defined his life, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
