Michael Thistlethwaite Obituary
He was born in Lebanon, Indiana, on March 22, 1954, to the late Meveral and Shirley (Uhler) Thistlethwaite. On November 2, 1985, Michael married Connie (Pickard) Thistlethwaite, and together they shared 40 years of loving marriage.
Michael retired in 2020 from CNH Industrial, where he worked in Inventory Control. He was a dedicated member of Arcadia Christian Church, and his passions included building with Legos, woodworking, and anything that allowed him to work with his hands. Michael also enjoyed traveling, was a huge NASCAR fan, and had a particular love for western's and western movies. He enjoyed playing cards and cherished spending time with his card group, friends, and family. Michael was particularly fond of his Dodge truck and loved taking drives to reminisce about the old days.
Michael is survived by his wife, Connie Thistlethwaite of Cicero; his stepson, James Kinnaman of Cicero; his grandchildren, Dakota (Tori) Jamison of Cicero and Charlie Kinnaman of Lebanon; his great-grandson, Roy Jamison of Cicero; his sister, Patricia Ann (Tim) Maddox of Lebanon; as well as several nieces, nephews, and great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Meveral Cyrus Thistlethwaite; and his sister, Margery Louise Burkhardt.
Michael's wishes were to be cremated and Hartley Funeral Homes has been entrusted with his care.
A time for visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at the Arcadia Christian Church 26901 IN-19 Arcadia, Indiana. A memorial service will start at 12:00 pm on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at Arcadia Christian Church, with J.R. Moffatt officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Angels Attic in Arcadia.
