Michael Blynn Tibbetts

Michael Tibbetts, a beloved Brother, Uncle, Friend, and Family treasure, passed away on January 3rd, 2026.
Michael will always be remembered as "The Prince of the River", "The Legend" and of course "Tibbs". Along with that, most will remember him most for his quick wit, generous heart, and the way he could make us laugh at any given moment. He had a gift for humor, his jokes, stories and perfectly timed one-liners filled rooms with laughter, making simple gatherings brighter simply because he was there. But beneath that humor was a deep kindness. His kindness was quiet but steady, shown through loyalty, generosity and simply being there when it mattered most.
Michael truly loved his home on the Salmon River, during his lifetime, he was a journeyman plumber, a denturist; providing care and craftmanship to those he served, of course he proudly served his community as a police officer for the City of Salmon. Though he wore many hats, in life, his biggest love was the MT Saddle Saloon, a place that felt like a second living room where friendships were built, stories were shared and laughter flowed as freely as the river nearby. It was there, surrounded by familiar faces that he felt most peace.
His loving family, all of whom will carry his memory forward through shared stories, laughter and love. He was deeply loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Wanda and Rodney Tibbetts, and his sister Penelope Tibbetts.
Michael is survived by his loving sister Melody Zernich (Bob); Nieces, Kristine Harmon, Autumn Zernich (Jeremie), Erika Tucker (Fred), Nephews, Scott Harmon (Lori), Brett Zernich (Lisa), Audie Alexandre' (Debbie). Great Nieces; Hazel Zernich, Paige Zernich, Nola Zernich, Brianna Alexandre', Shelbee Harmon and Great Nephews Maddox Barker and Rieder Prestwich.
All are welcome to join us for a celebration of life on June 20th, 2026, at 2 PM, at the MT Saddle Saloon near Shoup, Idaho, it will be a potluck gathering providing an opportunity for us to come together and share those memories of Michael.
