CHICAGO, IL - It is with much love and sadness that we share the tragic passing of Michael R. Tobias, age 50. Mike's sudden and unexpected death is a devastating loss for his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know him.
Born on August 23, 1975, in Defiance, Ohio, Mike was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a loving and supportive husband to Susan, his wife of 16 years, and an extraordinary father to their three children: Cameron (15), Cole (14), and Quinn (12). His unwavering dedication to his family was the cornerstone of his life.
Those who knew Mike will remember his warmth, kindness, and easy-going nature. He was selfless, warmhearted, steadfast, and dependable. Whether watching countless basketball games, coaching from the sidelines, relaxing on the beach in South Haven, or vacationing with his family, Mike created lasting memories that will continue to guide and inspire his children. His greatest joy was time spent with family and friends.
Mike is survived by his wife, Sue, and their children, Cam, Cole, and Quinn; his father, Richard Tobias; his brothers, Marc Tobias (Sarah, Jack and Kate) and Craig Tobias (Reyna, Landen and Brielle); his sister-in-law, Julia Daly (Ruby and Tommy); his brothers-in-law, Thomas Daly (Judy, Danielle and Darcy), Eugene Daly (Liz, Sam and Andrew), and Timothy Daly (Hollie and Rosy); and his loyal pup, Indie. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Janet Tobias.
