Michael "Tony" Moody, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, and dedicated employee, passed away on July 20, 2023, at Memorial Health in Savannah. Born on September 30, 1966, in Savannah, GA, Tony was a charismatic and hardworking individual who left an indelible mark on the hearts of all those around him.
For the past 29 years, Tony had been an integral part of Duramatic Products, where he served as the Supervisor of the Form Line. His commitment to his work was unparalleled, and his expertise and guidance were invaluable to both his colleagues and subordinates. Through his leadership and unwavering dedication to excellence, Tony earned the respect and admiration of everyone he worked with.
Outside of his professional life, Tony had a rich array of interests that brought him true joy and fulfillment. He was an avid fan of college football, with a special affection for the Georgia Bulldogs. Watching their games filled him with excitement and provided him with countless wonderful memories throughout the years. Additionally, Tony found solace in spending time outdoors – whether it be riding his mule or working diligently in his yards. He enjoyed eating fried shrimp and Krystal hamburgers.
Tony's love for his family knew no bounds. As a devoted husband to Sandy Moody for three decades, their connection was one characterized by unwavering support and boundless love for each other. Together they weathered life's storms with grace and held each other close through thick and thin. Tony cherished every moment spent by Sandy's side as they navigated life together.
In addition to Sandy, Tony is survived by his loving children Ashley Skipper (Christy Johnson) of Glennville and Dustin Skipper (Amanda) of Richmond Hill, his siblings, Forrest John Thompson and Lisa Moody (Dewey) Bashlor, both of Savannah.
Furthermore, Tony's grandchildren, Jazmin Diaz and Ava-Jaide Skipper, brought immeasurable joy and happiness into his life.
Tony is preceded in death by his grandparents, J.C. and Eloise Moody, as well as his mother, Margaret Thompson.
To honor Tony's memory and celebrate his remarkable life, visitation will be held at The Glennville Funeral Home on July 23rd, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will follow on July 24th at The Glennville Funeral Home at 11:30 AM with interment taking place at Glennville City Cemetery .
Pallbearers will be Shot Durrence, Willie Durrence, Robert Baggett, Al Danner, Author Cox, and Lee Howard
Glennville Funeral Home has the honor to serve the Moody family.
