Michael J. Townsend SR., entered into his eternal rest peacefully on September 06, 2025. He departed this life at the age of 62 years and 84 days. Michael was born on June 14, 1963 in Indianapolis, IN, to the late Adell and Frances L. Townsend. He was the baby boy of the family.

He attended grade school #27, middle school, and graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in 1981. He started working in the banking industry at: Federal Reserve, Merchants, Sky Bank, AFNB Bank, Midwest State Credit Union, Federal Home Loan Bank, and Huntington Bank as a branch manager. After working at all the banks, he was promoted to one of the most highest positions in that industry. He serviced that industry for twenty five years.

After making a career change, Michael went to work for the City of Indianapolis, Department of Public Works, as a Barricade Driver. He worked there for six years until he became ill. He was baptized in the name of Jesus at the Mt. Zion Apostolic Church, which is now called Kingdom Apostolic Ministries. He followed KAM on YouTube for many years.

Left behind to cherish Michael are 2 sons, Michael J. Townsend Jr., and Craig Dangerfield; 2 granddaughters, Layla and Maya. He shared his life for many years with girlfriend, Tammie Pipes, whom he cherished and loved dearly,  and thanking her for nursing and caring for him as he bared this sickness for eight years. Also left behind are 6 sisters: Cynthia Wilson, Janice Suggs, Andrienne Townsend, Arletha Spencer, Linda Jones, and Sandra Miller; 3 brothers, Kenny Townsend, Gary Townsend and Alfred Miller;  2 others that he loved as his brothers, Greg Wilson SR., and Matthew Kilpatrick;  and a host of nieces, nephews. 

He is preceded in death by sister, Helen Cissell; and brother, Charles Cissell.
