Michael A. Tramonte, 61 of Marshfield, passed away on August 31, 2023 in Hospice following a brief illness. Michael is survived by his wife Ann and his three children Michael, Ashley, and Christopher, all of Marshfield, his mother Joanne Tramonte of Marshfield, his brother Rusty Tramonte of Quincy, and many nieces and nephews. He was Predeceased by his father Oreste "Rusty" Tramonte and brother Pasquale Tramonte of Saugus.
Michael was involved in Local Politics for many decades and enjoyed a long career in Law Enforcement. He was a recipient of The Plymouth County Sheriff's 'Above and Beyond' Award in 2002. His career began with The Town of Marshfield as an Auxiliary Police Officer from 1981 to 1994. He joined the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department as a Deputy Sheriff in 1995 before accepting a position as a Corrections Officer in 1997. He retired from the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department in 2011. During his retirement he enjoyed time with his family and his dogs, as well as working part time for First Student as a School Bus Driver for the Town of Duxbury.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean Street in Marshfield.
