Rev. Michael H. Travis, age 81, of Cleveland, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his family at home on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.
Rev. Travis pastored several churches in the Tennessee and Southwest Virginia areas and faithfully served as District Superintendent of the Cleveland District, Holston Conference.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Teresa Travis; daughter, Kymberly (Michael) Wierman; son, Michael Andrew (Dana) Travis; and four grandchildren, Nathan and Natalie Travis, and Ryn and Bryce Wierman.
A memorial service will be held Monday, December 29, 2025, at _11 am at Broad Street United Methodist Church in Cleveland, with Rev. Don Shelor and Rev. Don Nation officiating. The family will receive friends at 10 AM
Interment will be held Monday, December 29, 2025, at 2:00 at the East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on John Sevier Highway in Knoxville, Tennessee, with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Broad Street UMC or Hospice of Chattanooga.
