Sharon K. Holder, 78, of Cleveland, TN, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

Sharon was born to Roy and Garnet Holder on December 25, 1946, In Aurora, IL. She was a wonderful Christmas gift for her parents and three siblings. Sharon was the youngest of the four children.

Sharon was a licensed cosmetologist and a talented hair stylist. Sharon loved dogs. She had many four-legged fur babies throughout her life. She loved and cared deeply for each one. Sharon worked for many years at Helping Hands of Cleveland & Athens, doing office work and caregiving for clients. She served as a probation officer and volunteered helping others. She loved traveling and visiting with family.

For almost 50 years, Sharon has been a loyal and faithful member of North Cleveland Church of God. She had a servant heart, serving in various areas helping others. Sharon volunteered in evangelism, jail ministry and singing with the Harmony Ladies Choir. The highlight of her week was being with friends in the Berean Sunday School class.

Sharon was an overcomer from cancer, strokes, heart complications and other illnesses. Those things didn’t stop her or keep her down. She was caring, loving and was active up until her final day on earth.

Preceding Sharon in death are her parents, Roy and Garnet Holder; brother, Charles Holder, Sr., sisters, Evelyn Shelton and Joyce Dees; nephews, Mark Dees, Randy Holder, Charles Holder, Jr., and Dennis Kapteina.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Tony Holder (Kevin Nichols) of Atlanta, GA. Nieces and Nephews, David (Joan) Kapteina, Darrell (Peggy) Kapteina, Donna (Jack) Payton, Judy Keck, Janet Helton, Joy Lane, Gaye Kelley and Greg Dees and many great and great, great nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be held at Poole Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cleveland, 3000 Ralph Buckner Blvd. NE, Cleveland, TN 37311 on December 17, 2025 at 1:00 PM with visitation 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM prior to the service. Dr. Tom Doolittle and Bishop Mitchell Maloney officiating. Serving Pallbearers will include Kevin Nichols, Chris Kapteina, David Shope, Joshua Nation, Darrell Kapteina and Mitchell Bedgood.

Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, 7180 N. Lee Hwy, Cleveland, TN 37312
