Michael Tremain

Michael Lynn Tremain, 63, of rural Havana, Kansas passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Ascension St. John Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was born on September 5, 1961, in Coffeyville, Kansas to James Martin and Mary Ann (Thomas) Tremain. Mike grew up on the family farm near Havana, Kansas, he attended Havana grade school and Caney Valley High School in Caney, Kansas graduating with the class of 1979. Growing up he was active in 4-H, played trumpet, baritone, sousaphone, and drums and was very active in FFA. On February 21, 1991, he married Karen Sue (Wallace) Hanna. Following their home in Havana, KS, where they enjoyed farm life. Karen preceded him in death on April 23, 2025. When he was young Mike helped his father on the family farm, he later did farm work for James Gordon, was a truck driver for Jim Nusz Trucking, was Inventory Manager, and worked in shipping and receiving at Jensen International, and for the last 28 years was a heavy equipment operator and Foreman at Tom's Ditching and Backhoe, Inc. Mike was a member of Tyro Christian Church and loved spending time with his family. Mike is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Tremain (Thomas) of Havana, KS; step-daughter, Rebecca (Hanna) Brake (Darren) of Tyro, KS; step-son, Sol Hanna (Robyn) of Coffeyville, KS, his brothers, David Tremain (Vanessa) of Hebron, NE; and Gregory Tremain (Kim) of Midland, TX, grandchildren, Chase Brake (Jaycee) of Bartlesville, OK, Chance Brake (Cali) of Tyro, KS, Chandler Brake (Emma Short) of Havana, KS, Dani Hanna (Tyler) of Independence, KS, Sol Michael Hanna of Omaha, NE, and great grandchildren: Elaina, Chasin, Beau, and Charli Brake. He was preceded in death by his father, James Tremain, his wife, Karen Tremain, and brother, Kenneth Tremain Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, at the Tyro Christian Church at 2 pm with Allan Swinson officiating.
