Michael was born on August 28, 1956, to the late Robert Truitt and Hilda Eady in Baltimore,MD, and later relocated to Erie, PA, during his childhood. Michael spent many years in Tampa, FL, but ultimately chose to return to Erie to be closer to his children and grandchildren, whom he cherished deeply. On a sad note, Michael passed away on September 8, 2025.

He attended public schools in Baltimore and Erie. During his working years in Erie and Tampa, he worked as a wood craftsman, brake press operator, sheet metal mechanic, and in maintenance and janitorial roles until his retirement.

Michael always greeted others with a smile, and his cheerful presence spread joy to everyone around him. He loved spending time with family and attending gatherings. He took great pride in his skills as an interior painter and grill master and represented his hometown football team, the Baltimore Ravens. He loved reading the Bible, God's Word. He lived a full and happy life, despite many challenges. He enjoyed 69 meaningful years. Remembering Michael should bring smiles and a sense of love to the hearts of those who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Grayling, and his sisters, Sandra and Robbin. He is survived by his daughter, Taneshia, his sons,Tommie and Michael, and eleven grandkids, Jamale Jr., Taveion, Rah'Jon, A'Shane, Michael, DeMarco, Mila, Maura, D'Antaisha, Tahlaysha, and Tommie Jr.

He leaves to cherish in his memories his sisters, Janie, Brenda (Thomas), Wanda, Audry, Darlyne, and brothers, Kevin (Iris), and Carl, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Please remember that Michael loved you all.

The family would like to express their thankfulness to everyone who reached out, came, and
